Olivia Myers
Olivia is a Boston-based cellist and pedagogue and is currently finishing her last semester of a Master of Music degree at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. She works as a Teaching Assistant with the Boston String Academy and runs a private studio. As a performer, she has been recognized for her full sound and sensitive musicianship. Recent public performances include Schoenberg’s Verklärte Nacht with the Beacon Ensemble and the first movement of Dvorak’s Cello Concerto in B minor with the Boston Conservatory Conductor’s Orchestra. Olivia is starting her first season with the DuBois Orchestra this year as a core cellist, and she hopes to become more involved with community music organizations after graduation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cello Performance from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University under the instruction of Professor Emilio Colón, and she currently studies with Professor Rhonda Rider at the Boston Conservatory.
