Violinist Jewel Joowon Han embarked on her musical journey in both the United States and South Korea at a young age, marking her soloist debut in 2011 with the Seoul Concert Orchestra. She has graced prestigious stages such as Carnegie Hall and the Seoul Arts Center, both as a soloist and a chamber musician.

Her orchestral performances have adorned venues like Boston’s Symphony Hall and Kresge Auditorium. Jewel has enriched her musical experiences through masterclasses led by esteemed figures like Timothy Chooi and Gabriela Lena Frank, garnering accolades in competitions on both American and Korean soil for her compelling renditions spanning Baroque, Romantic, and contemporary repertoire.

Graduating with honors from Boston University with a BM in violin performance, Jewel honed her craft under the tutelage of luminaries like Professor Emeritus Yuri Mazurkevich and Professor Lucia Lin. She also delved into the realm of chamber music under the guidance of Professor Peter Zazofsky, Professor Shiela Kibbe, and the Arneis Quartet, while collaborating with eminent conductors from institutions such as the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Ballet.

Beyond her virtuosity on stage, Jewel has contributed to nurturing young talents through teaching engagements at the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra Intensive Community Program. Notably, she was invited to share her insights at a TEDxBU talk themed "Disciplined Imagination" in 2021.

Jewel remains committed to her artistic evolution and the sharing of her violinistic passion with her students.
